In October 2023 Australians rejected a proposal to create an advisory Voice for Aboriginal people. This is the 4th effort to grant to Aboriginal people a voice in policy and legislative issues that affect them. What were the main issues that caused concern to the electorate? Were Aboriginal people in agreement about the merit of the proposed Voice? What lessons can be learnt from this initiative? These are some of the questions that will be addressed by reference to Australian and international case studies concerning advisory bodies for indigenous people.
We look forward to seeing you at our event!
