Nándor Bárdi will give a lecture on 23 November 2024 in Cluj-Napoca on the topic Hungarian Elites in Romania between the Two World Wars, as part of the Day of Hungarian Science in Transylvania.
On 14 November 2024, our colleague Nándor Bárdi presented Róbert-István Antal's book The Socialist who loved his nation - Lajos Jordáky (1913-1974) at the Institute of History of the HUN-REN Faculty of Social Sciences. The book was published by the Transylvanian Museum Association and Kriterion Publishing House.
The Forum Institute for Minority Studies and the Faculty of Teacher Training of Selye János University will organize a scientific conference on "The Values of Hungarians in Slovakia and their Changes" on 21-22 November 2024, where Tamás Gusztáv Filep will also present. Viktória Bányai will give a lecture on 22 November in Szombathely, at the academic conference "The message of the past for the future", organised in the framework of the Holocaust 80 commemoration year. Her presentation will be entitled: Rural Holocaust memorials and commemorative practices in the light of a 1956 survey
Balázs Dobos and Balázs Vizi will attend the conference entitled "Transnational Participation of Minorities" at the ELTE's Faculty of Social Sciences on 21-22 November. The titles of their presentations are: Balázs Vizi: Social integration and/or minority rights – how does the FCNM Advisory Committee identify Roma issues? Balázs Dobos: Territoriality and political participation. Cultural autonomies and minority parliamentary representation in Central and South Eastern Europe. The presentation of Margit Bethlen's book A költőnő, akinek férje miniszterelnök [The poetess whose husban is prime minister] (Gondolat Kiadó, compiled by Zsuzsanna Rózsafalvi and Tamás Gusztáv Filep) will take place at the Petőfi Literary Museum (1053 Budapest, Károlyi utca 16.) on 11 November 2024 at 5 pm.

Our colleague Csilla Fedinec will participate on the Re:Open Zakarpattia 2024 forum, which will be held on November 8-9, 2024, in Uzhhorod (Ukraine). She will participate in two events: Hard-talk „What Hungary expects from Ukraine. And what Ukraine should expect from Hungary”, and panel discussion „National Communities of Ukraine as Unobvious Lobbyists of European Integration”, as well as taking part in the public summary of the results of the two-day international forum.
